Radiation-hardenable printing inks contain, by wt., 10-40 (15-30)% polymerisable, polyfunctional acrylate esters (I) of polyhydric alcohols, in addn. to 10-40% oil-soluble, film-forming resins (II), 10-35% aromatics-free or -deficient mineral oils, opt. with addn. of liquid, oil-modified alkyd condensates and/or drying oils as well as 10-40% pigments, Iv-sensitisers and stabilisers. Addn. of (I) speeds up drying-time, e.g. from 180-2000 secs. to 0.2-0.4 secs. Uv exposure, to obtain non-tacky, scour-proof prints. (I) may be glycol-, glycerol-, pentaerythritol and esp. trimethylol propane acrylates, esp. trimethylol propane triacrylate (I') used with cyclohexanone-HCHO resin, (II'), as (II). |
