titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR SEPARATION OF ORGANIC METAL COMPOUNDS AND ADDUCTS OF THIOURA WITH ORGANIC METAL COMPOUNDS
abstract Cyclopenteadienyl- or benzene-pi-complexes of transition metals, having general formula LML' (I) (where L is an unsubstd. cyclopentadienyl- or an unsubstd. benzene ring, L' is an unsubstd. cyclopentadienyl-, an unsubstd. benzene ring or carbonyl gps. and M is a transition metal) are separated from their mixtures with cpds. (II) which do not form adducts with thiourea in the presence of an organic solvent consisting of a 1-3C alkanol and/or a dialkyl ketone; (2) separating the adducts of thiourea with (I) from (II) and (3) decomposing the adducts with release of (I). Purifying (I) for use as anti-knocking cpds., biologically active materials, stabilisers for polymers, insecticides, dyes, additives to fuels, paints, lacquers, oils and rubber and for prodn. of metallic coatings. Urea adducts of (I) may be used in improving storage stability of (I).
