This is for support under hollow tile, concrete or light-material units used in roofing or ceiling construction, with the tension zone at least in a reinforced-concrete bearer in the lightweight beam-shaped unit. The side surfaces of the latter, in which this is bedded, are pref. profiled to fit their counterparts in adjacent side surfaces; profiling may consist of tongues and grooves, or saw-toothed longitudinal ribbing. The bottom may also be profiled, and may have an insulating or plastering coating. A smooth heat-insulating underside car be provided for ceiling and roof structure, with no extra supports, and lightweight beams can be wide, with installation rapidly completed. |
