titleOfInvention | HEAT DEVELOPMENT LIGHT SENSITIVE MATERIAL |
abstract | Photosensitive material for thermal development has a substrate with coating(s) contg. (a) an organic Ag salt, (b) a catalytic amt. of a light-sensitive Ag halide, prepd. by mixing a soln. of a cpd. (I) which can liberate halide ions and a soln. of a cpd. (II) which can liberate Ag ions in the presence of a surfactant (III), (c) a reducing agent and (d) a binder. The Ag halide prepd. in the presence of (III) is very fine-grained and stable and does not tend to form aggregates, even in the absence of protective colloid, which would be adsorbed by the grains and prevent satisfactory contact with the organic Ag salt. This gives a material with high speed. |
