titleOfInvention | OXYDATIVE AFTER-TREATMENT OF SULFUR-COLORED OR. PRINTED CELLULOSIC TEXTILE MATERIALS |
abstract | Cellulose textiles dyed or printed with sulphur dyes are oxidised by oxygen-contg. gas in presence of catalysts consisting of 1-3 ring quinones and/or their leuco forms, which may be substd. by one or two methyl, ethyl or Cl gps., and by one or two anionic salt-forming gps. Poor wash fastness caused by oxidn. with H2O2 is avoided. The treatment does not cause dulling of the shades, hardening of the textiles by metal residues, hydrophobic effects of effluent problems, as occurs with bichromate or bichromate/copper sulphate treatments. |
