abstract The fastening element is intended for screwless connection of a moving magnetic core and a coil in guide of the carriage of the switching device, such as a contactor which is insertable into recesses of the guide carriage. Two angular, sprung clamping latches (12) have each on their free ends (12f) a hook (12d) which engages grooves (15a, 15b) of the magnetic core (9) to be latched. Each latch has a locking lug (12b) which engages positively and firmly in a corresponding recess (13) of the guide carriage (6) under spring force. Preferably the grooves are arranged on either side of the outer pole shanks (22) of the magnetic core and the magnetic yoke rears (9a), at right angles to the core laminations. The grooves in the magnetic yoke rears may be on inclined plane (14) in relation to the outer pole shanks.
