abstract | Dyestuff prepns. for dyeing textile from water-immiscible solvents contain (a) dyestuffs which are insol. or only slightly sol. in tetrachloroethylene; (b) dispersing agents of formula (I): (where R1 is alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl opt. substd., such that there remains, after removal of n isocyanate gps., a corresponding cpd. which had contained a isocyanate gps. n is 1-6. R2-R5 are independently H, lower alkyl, opt. substd. phenyl or chloromethyl; x is 0-100; y is 0-50; R6 is O-aryl, O-aralkyl, O-alkaryl, O-CO-alkyl, O-CO-aryl, NH-CO-alkyl, NH-SO2, alkyl or O-alkyl; when x and y are not simultaneously zero R6 is O-alkyl or O-alkaryl) and (c) opt. slightly volatile organic solvents. For natural and regenerated celluslose and cellulose esters; polyester, natural and synthetic polyamides, and polyurethanes. The prepns. have good storage stability; on dilution with halohydrocarbons, the resulting dispersions remain stable under the high temp. dyeing conditions thus yielding uniform dyeings. The dyeing appts. is not made dirty by deposited dyestuffs. |
