titleOfInvention CORROSION PREVENTION AGENTS AND PROCESS FOR CORROSION INHIBITION
abstract A corrosion inhibitor, for protection of Zn and Zn-coated iron against attack by descaling acids, contains a mixt. of benzylquinolinium chloride and a carboxylic acid, pref. a 5-18C aliphatic carboxylic acid, esp. capric and/or a phenylalkane acid with a 2-5C alkane or alkene gp., pref. hydrocinnamic- or cinnamic acid. The descaling acid may be aminosulphonic acid, and 0.5-10% of the mixed inhibitors are added. The addn. of capric-, cinnamic- and/or hydrocinnamic acid to the benzylquinolinium chloride prevents the descaling acid attacking the Zn.
