titleOfInvention | AZO BASIC DYES, METHOD FOR THEIR MANUFACTURE AND USE |
abstract | Basic azo dyes free of SO3H gps., of formula: (in which D+ is the gp. of an aromatic or heterocyclic diazo component contg. a quaternary N atom; A is an aromatic gp. or, together with NR, a heterocyclic gp.; R is H, opt. substd. alkyl, aralkyl or cycloalkyl; R1 and R2 are opt. substd, alkyl, aralkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl, and X- is an anion). The dyes are used for dyeing or printing of mordanted cellulose, silk, leather, acetate, polyamides, acid-modified polyamides or polyesters, or esp. polyacrylonitrile or polyvinylidene cyanide. Also with anionic pptants. in paper printing. They have good light and wet fastness, insensitive to changes in pH of dye baths and resistant to dyeing temps. above 100 degrees C. |
