abstract |
Magnetic material for high-density recording of short-wavelength signals is produced by immersing a non-magnetic carrier in a soln. contg. a saltns) of a ferromagnetic metal (Co or Ni) and a reducing cpd. (e.g. sodium hypophosphite), and applying a magnetic field. Thin, magnetically anisotropic ferromagnetic metal film is formed; it has oriented acicular grain structure, and shows superior magnetic properties, in particular coercive force, rectangularity of the hysteresis loop and sensitivity. |
