Water-sol. hydrated salt-contng. granules, esp. of detergents and cleansers, are prepd. without caking by expanding and solidifying a heaped crude granulate, present in incompletely solidified moist-appearing condition, by irradiation with microwaves, pref. having frequency 1000-5000 MHz. Crude granulate contains >=1 hydratable component capable of forming a solid dry-appearing prod. and water. Water amt. is >=50 wt. % of that required for complete hydration but does not exceed latter by >5 wt. % (w.r.t. total water-contng. crude granulate). Pref. granulate contains, by wt., esp. 5-90 (10-40)% cpds. (I), capable of absorbing >=5 wt. % water to form a dry-appearing prod. (but calc. as anhydrous cpds.), 0-55 (7-35)% anionic and/or zwitter ionic tenside and opt. non-ionic wash-active substances, 0-30 (2-5)% standard detergent and cleanser components, 5-40 (8-30) esp. 8-20% water, provided water absorbed by (I) does not exceed 5 wt. %. |
