Derivs. of formula (I) and their tautomers (Ia): (where R1-R3 are H, halogen, OH, allyloxy, benzyloxy, alkylthio, alkysulphinyl, alkylsulphonyl, opt. alkyl-substd. amino, or 1-4C alkoxy opt. substd. by halogen, OH, alkoxy, alkylthio, alkylsulphinyl, alkylsulphonyl, mono- or di-alkylamino, morpholino, thiamorpholino, N1-methylpiperazino or N1-phenylpiperazino or R1+R2 is methylenedioxy; >=1 of R1-R3 being other than H; R4 is H, alkyl opt. substd. by OH, dialkylamino, phenyl or morpholino, or phenyl opt. substd. by halogen or OCH3; and R5 is H, halogen or lower alkyl; 'alkyl' being 1-4C) and their physiologically tolerable salts with acids have effects on blood pressure and cardiac contractile force, a positive inotropic action, and anti-ulcer activity. The are prepd. by reacting cpds. of formula (II): (where Y is halogen or NHR4) with a cpd. of formula (III) (where X is carboxyl or a functional deriv. thereof). Substnts. in the prodt. may be modified by conventional procedures. |
