abstract |
Polyurethane foam foil having a bulk density of 0.04-0.40 g/cm3 is produced by the foam-whipping method from a dispersion contg. 45-62 wt. % of 0.05-1.0 mu polyurethane particles; the polyurethane contains 3-40 m. equiv. per 100 g of ionic gp. (substd.) ammonium, -COO-, -SO3- or -RO- P(O)-O-; the viscosity is characterised by a 10-70 sec. outflow from a Ford beaker having a 4mm. nozzle (pref. 20-50 secs. corresp. to 2-12 P). The tensile strength of the product should be at least 40 kg/cm2. The polyurethane foam foil can be opt. covered with a wearing-resistant polymer foil having a weight of 20-200 g/cm3 and a tensile strength >=40 kg/cm . Polyurethane foam foils are esp. suitable for prodn. of laminates with textile materials because of the absence of plasticisers. |
