abstract The fuels consist of a mixt. of (A) hydrogenated 4C or 3-4C olefin oligomers and (B) 9-15C n-paraffins or their mixts. Aromatics which may be present in the oligomers are pref. wholly or partly removed before or after hydrogenation. Addition of (B) improves the low temp. viscosity, vapour pressure at 260 degrees C., and luminometer values to meet JP-7 fuel requirements, while still retaining an acceptable freeze pt.
