titleOfInvention METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PERFORMING MICROBIOLOGICAL INVESTIGATIONS
abstract A flexible strip of esp. transparent plastics foil, approx. 60 mm wide, has along its edges narrow corrugated spacer strips approx 4 mm high and coated on one face with a solid or semisolid nutrient for the cultures, esp. an impregnated textile strip approx. 30 mm wide and 1-3 mm thick. The strip is divided crosswise by markers into fields approx. 70 mm long and infection barriers of esp. p-nitro-benzyl glycerine coincide with these. Identification numbers are printed against the fields and space provided for written information. The strip can be rolled up or folded and the spacers prevent contact between faces.
