Cpds. of the general formula (I) and their salts, and inters. of the formula (II) where R1, R2, R3, R4 = H or 1-6C, (pref. 1-3C) alkyl, R1' = 1-6C alkyl, X = a valency bond or S, and X' = a valency bond, are claimed. Cpds. (I) lower cholesterol- and triglyceride-levels and are used orally or parenterally in treatment or prophylaxis. They can alternatively be prepd. from (II) and dialkyl-ketones with CHCl3 and strong alkali hydroxides in indifferent solvents. |
