titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A RELIEF IMAGE OF OBJECTS WITH A PRESET CONFIGURATION ON A METAL OR ALLOY LAYER
abstract A composite is initially formed by depositing a metal or alloy on a fused quartz or glass backing by vacuum spraying, followed by Ag and As2S3 layers. This is then exposed image wise to electromagnetic radiation which passes through an image bearing layer contacting the As2S3. Photochemical reaction products are formed between the As2S3 and Ag layers and the prodts. removed by an etchant which simultaneously removes at least partly the metal (alloy) layer. After removal of the As2S3 a single etchant simultaneously removes the unreacted Ag and at least partly the base metal (alloy). Etching operations are minimal.
