abstract Polycondensates consist of (a) 55-65 wt.% units of formula possible mixed with is not >5 wt.% of other units derived from aromatic or aliphatic dicarboxylic acids, (b) 20-33 wt.% units of formula -O-R-O-, where R is a satd. alkylene gp. with 2 or 4C, possibly mixed with is not >5 wt.% other units derived from diols, and (c) 3-20 (5-15) wt.% units of formula where R1 is a satd. open, possibly branched or cyclic alkylene chain with 1-15C, (bi)phenylene or phenylalkylene with is not >6C in the alkylene gp., and R2 and R3 are is not >6C (cyclo)alkyl, phenyl or benzyl. (I) are non-inflammable and can be used to produce glass-clear articles by pressing, injection casting or extrusion.
