titleOfInvention FUSION BREED REACTOR FOR A THERMONUCLEAR HYDROGEN NUCLEAR FUSION BY MEANS OF THE ESSENTIALS OF A SMALL MAGNETIC ENCLOSURE FIELD WITHIN A LARGE EXPANSION CHAMBER
abstract A hydrogen-isotope mixt. (D-T Gas) is fed in metered discrete quantities into a very high energy accelerator of the plasma compression type, or conical induction type using external field, and thence passes via a "magnetic nozzle" into a transit-time delay and pulse-shaping stage in which either during or after its transit it is brought to fusion by very high flux density constriction field(s). Then it is allowed to expand in a chamber, lined like the reaction chamber with a liquid lithium filled jacket where neutron breeding of tritium takes place, and in the expansion chamber the plasma temp falls to a level at which it can be used industrially i.e by passage through heat exchangers using as secondary, working fluid, one adapted to use at that temp. this fluid then being used for desired form of energy prodn externally. The heat energy given up to the working fluid is that produced by fusion and stored in the gas and/or in the lithium circuit.
