| abstract | The antenna socket has an earth plate (13) and an insulating plate (2) with two terminals connected to the inner conductor of an incoming and outgoing coaxial cable (6, 7) respectively. The direction dependent wideband coupler (18) has a ferromagnetic core (19) with two core apertures (22, 23) and windings providing a differential coupler. Two flat conductors (16, 17) extend from the earth plate (13) through the overlying insulating plate (2), to lie at either side of the coupler (18) in a plane positioned symmetrically between both axes of the core apertures (22, 23). A flat conductor (11, 12) associated with one of the terminals is positioned adjacent each of the latter flat conductors (16, 17) the conductors (11, 12, 16,17) connected to the windings. |
