titleOfInvention LINED LINE
abstract Pipe has a rigid external cover having a first end on which is fitted a flange (A) for connecting to a similar flange, and a sleeve of synthetic polymer which is subject to cold flow and possesses a flange (B) adjacent to the first end of the pipe, the flange (B) extending parallel to and being supported by the flange (A) of the pipe, while a rigid support with multiple openings is disposed between the flange (B) of the sleeve and the flange (A) of the pipe, the openings of the support contg. the material of the sleeve flange and being in contact with the latter. The provision of the rigid support prevents the formation of faults as a result of the slow deformation of the material of the sleeve in the flange zone when the pipe is subjected to temps. approaching the softening temp. of the internal sleeve.
