abstract | Corrosion inhibiting agent for use in aq. alkanolamine solns. for removal of acid from natural gas, combination gas, or synthesis gas, is selected from (1) a combination of 9-1 pts wt V cpd and 1-9 pts. wt Sb, cpd, both cpds, being at least partly soluble in the aq. alkanolamine soln, (2) stannous salts, (3) organotin cpds, (4) nitro-substd aromatic acids (5) nitro-substd acid salts, and (6) benzotriazole. Pref. the alkanolamine soln contains 0.01-2.0 wt.% corrosion inhibitor. Corrosion of ferrous metal appts parts is inhibited at a relatively low cost. |
