COMPOSITE BODY MADE OF A BASE METAL, METAL OXIDE OR GLASS SUBSTRATE, AN ORGANIC POLYMER AND AN INTERLAYER, AND A METHOD FOR ITS MANUFACTURING |
abstract |
The composition contains one or more water soluble coordination complexes of a salt which in aqs. solns gives Cr(H2O)63q cations and a non-coordinated anion with a 4-10C trans acid (pref. fumaric) of formula: (where R1 and R2 are H, alkyl, -CH2COOH or phenyl). Aqs.solns of the complexes are either blue or green and show characteristic light absorption spectra. pH of of solns is pref. 0-2-4 and they contion 0.0005-0.5g atoms of Cr/litre, with proportion of Cr(III)/acid/cation of 1/1/2 or 1/1/1. The primer which is low priced improved adhesion of organic polymer coatings (pref. polyolefins) to metallic and glass substrates. |
