CATALYST FOR EXHAUST GAS CLEANING |
abstract |
The catalysts consist of a carier sheet of heat-resistant metal with catalytically-active metal applied to one or both faces. The carrier is pref. a Ni/Cr/fe, Ni/Co/Cr or Ni/Co/Cr/fe alloy and the active metal Ni or Ni/Cu alloy. They are suitable for oxidative purification of exhaust gases, esp. from motor vehicles. The catalysts are more easily prepd. and formed into suitable shape than catalysts deposited on a ceramic skeleton, and are more resistant to vibration and abrasion than granular catalysts. |
