abstract | Catalyst coatings of alloys comprising one or more from gp. 8 with Sn and Cu are electrolessly deposited on the walls of combustion chambers, cylinder chambers, exhaust pipes, etc. to improve fuel efficiency. O2 comprising 2-20 wt.% of the fuel gas was injected into the latter. The bath used to produce the catalyst coating which covers at least 0.5 dm. and is 0.01-50 mm thick, contains 20 g/l NiSO47H2O; 15 g/l disodium ethylene diaminetetracetate; 0.5 g/l CoSO47H2O; 6 mg/l Na2S2O35H2O; 30 g/l NaH2PO2H2O; 20 g/l accelerator; 4 g/l PdCl2; 1 g/l Na2Pt (OH)6 or 1-10 g/l CuSO45H2O or 0.5-5 g/l SnCl2.2H2O. Coating was carried out at 20-60 degrees C and at pH 8.5-9. |
