titleOfInvention NEW ORGANIC MOLECULE COMPOUNDS AND THEIR USE AS A MEANS OF PROTECTION AGAINST ACTINIC RADIATION
abstract Title adducts of formula (I): nucleoside.(PO3)n.Men+1 .(p-NH2.C6H4CO2Me)m where nucleoside.(PO3)n.Men+1 is a natural or synthetic nucleotide; Me is H, alkali metal, ammonium or aminecation; n is 1,2 or 3; m is 1-(n+1). The pref. ratio nucleotide/p-aminobenzoic acid is 1:1-4. Prepn. is by adding a soln. of p-aminobenzoic acid or its salt to a soln. of nucleotide in water. (I) have good absorption for UV-irradiation in the range of ca. 280-320 nm, but less absorption at 240 nm. They may be used as protective agents against actinic light esp. in cosmetic prepns.
