Cl- or NO2-substd. fused benzene ring; R3 is H, alkyl, alkoxy, NO2, halogen or phenyl opt. substd. by halogen, NO2, alkyl, alkoxy or CF3; R4 is 1-6C alkyl, 1-6C hydroxyalkyl, 2-7C alkylcarbonyl, 2-7C alkoxycarbonyl, CN, NO2, CF3 or OH, or a fused benzene ring or a fused tetramethylene bridge, which can include the heteroatoms or the C atoms in between as ring junction atoms; NA is a heterocycle which can contain >=1 double bonds, A being O, S, -CH=, -CH2- or NR5, where R5 is 1-12C alkyl, 1-4C hydroxyalkyl, =12C alkylcarbonyalkyl, =12C alkylcarboxyalkyl, =12C alkoxycarbonyl, or opt. substd. aryl or aralkyl; m and n are 0-4) are plant-growth regulators, esp. defoliants, herbicides and fungicides.
