titleOfInvention | Soldering fluxes - based on rosin, contg acid (anhydride) activators |
abstract | Fluxes contain activators which dissolve metal oxide films in order to prepare the surfaces for soldering, but which are converted to non-corrosive products during soldering. They are typically acids or acid anhydrides such as phthalic acid or phthalic anhydride 10-20 wt.%, or glutanic anhydride, amber acid anhydrides, or cyclo-1,2 dicarboxylic anhydride in 7-15 wt.%. Ascorbic acid or certain alcohols can also be used. |
