A nutritional supplement composition comprising astaxanthin, proinflammatory, low molecular weight, microbially fermented sodium hyaluronate fragments having a molecular weight of 0.5 to 300 kilodaltons (kDa) and a carrier having a lipid selected from the group consisting of a phospholipid, glycolipid and sphingolipid an oral dosage form, wherein the astaxanthin constitutes 0.1 to 15% by weight of the carrier and the lipid selected from the group consisting of a phospholipid, glycolipid and sphingolipid for use as adjunct to treating and relieving joint pain , |
