abstract Stabilised poly-alpha-olefins are produced by incorporating in (co)polymer appropriate amount (pref. 0.1-5 wt.%) of cpd. of gen. formula (RO-OC-)nR' (in which R is X is alkyl, alkanoyl or alkoxycarbonylmethyl with 6-20C; Y is 1-5C alkyl; n is 1 or 2; if n is 1, R' is phenyl, opt. substd. with 1-6C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, OH, NO2 or halogen; if n is 2, R' is phenylene). Additive improves UV stability of polymer, pref. polyethylene.
