titleOfInvention | Process for dry cleaning of fur |
abstract | Made-up furs, e.g. coats, jackets of Persian Lamb, sheep-skin, mink, etc., dry-cleaned with organic solvents in machines identical or similar to those for textile dry-cleaning, are re-oiled, during or after dry-cleaning, by adding 100-400 g/1 (w.r.t. dry-cleaning solvent) natural or synthetic oils or waxes or mixts. thereof with solvent-soluble emulsifiers, followed by >=1, esp. 1-6, short, esp. 10-60 sec. rinses with fresh solvent, accompanied by solvent-extn., e.g. by dry-spinning, between each rinse. De-oiling of pelt leather is remedied while preventing smearing of fur-hairs, by extracting more fat from hair than from leather and restoring leather to original fat-content. |
