abstract | A softening rinse for washed textiles contains (I) an N.N-dialkyl-N-2-hydroxyalkyl-N'-acyl-aminimide of formula where R1 and R2 are lower alkyl, esp. CH3, R3 is H, CH2OH, 1-16C alkyl or an alkyloxymethyl gp. with 8-18C in the alkyl residue, and R4 is a pref. straight-chain (unsatd.) 1-21C pref. 11-21C alkyl gp. or a 12-22C 2-alkylaminoethyl or 2-dialkylaminoethyl resiude, with the proviso that one of the gps. R3 and R4 contains is approx. 10C alkyl residue, (II) is approx. 1 diluent for the softener, and opt. (III) the usual components of a textile softening rinse.
