titleOfInvention Fine polyurethane powder prodn - by dispersing a polyurethane melt in an inert, incompatible liquid
abstract Finely pulverulent polyesterurethanes, polyetherurethanes or polyesteretherurethanes, opt. admixed with colourants, fillers, plasticisers etc., are obtd. by dispersing the polymer melt in a liquid which is not or only partly compatible with, and inert to, the polyurethane, and then separating the suspended particles when they have hardened. The polyurethane is derived from polyesters, polyethers or polyesterethers with mol. wt. 400 - 10000, diisocyanates with mol. wt. 20 - 400 contg. at least 2 Zerewitinof-reactive H-atoms. Resulting powder has uniform particle size. Suitable for cyclonesintering, flame-spraying, injection-moulding, extrusion.
