titleOfInvention | Electrolytic coulomb meter cell - with gold plated soft wire electrode |
abstract | An electrolytic coulomb meter cell with two electrodes, has the single electrode (inside the casing electrode) constructed from a deformed piece of soft metal wire, part of the surface of which is smooth, and coated with a gold layer. Specifically, the basic part is deformed from soft or mild steel, and the gold coating may be of hard gold, optionally followed by a second soft gold coating. A flange formed on the wire electrode enables it to be fixed and sealed in the mouth of casing electrode. The advantage of the arrangement is improved economy compared with previous electrodes giving the same performance. |
