abstract A diazonium compound derived from an amine of formual:- (R is alkyl, hydroxy-alkyl, aryl or aralkyl, opt. subst. Y is substitutable group of formula (in which Z is a divalent bond, or a divalent atom or radical) Z may be O, CH2, NH). In the diazonium compound NH2 is replaced by N2X3; X may be chloride or sulphate or double salt of zinc chloride. The diazonium compound is incorporated in a light-sensitive laher in diazotype material. Amines used include (N-pyrrolidine-2'-yl)-2-piperidino-4-methoxy-5-aniline and (N-pyrrolidine-2'-yl)-2 (N-methyl piperazino)-4-methoxy-5-aniline.
