abstract Pharmaceutical for controlling nerve activity is produced by reacting p-chlorophenoxyacetonitrile with dimethylaminoethanol in presence of sulphuric acid of concentration 85-95 weight %. Starting material is obtained by reacting p-chlorophenol with chloroacetonitrile. Starting material is stable and process therefore simple; no dangerous by-products arise.
