titleOfInvention | Caeruloplasmine activity determination - in plasma - and serum for diagnosis using sodium chloroanilate for calibration |
abstract | The activity of the enzyme caeruloplasmine in plasma and serum is determined by its action on p-phenylenediamine as substrate forming a coloured substance having the same absorption spectrum as Bandrowski's base, but by using a stable Na-chloroanilate soln. of pH 7.8-9 for the calibration in place of the unstable Bandrowski's base. The change in concentration of the enzyme assists the diagnosis of certain pathological conditions. |
