abstract Compsn. comprises a resin produced by semicarbonisation of caustobiolites; up to 1% of sulphur; 3 - 10% formaldehyde, up to 0.1% of the residual products from the prepn. of carboxylic acids from combustible shale; up to 0.5% of a surfactant and up to 1% pyrites ash. It stops erosion and retains soil moisture and limits attack by insects and fungii on the resident crop.
