abstract A system for developing a symmetrical solid state supercapacitor using a graphene-derived nickel-copper-metal oxide nanocomposite, the system comprising:a graphene production unit for producing graphene, first producing reduced graphene oxide using the Hummer technique and then producing graphene oxide by a chemical reduction process to graphene;a heterostructure nanocomposite unit for the synthesis of the heterostructure nanocomposite graphene(G)/NiO-Ni(OH)2-CuO, starting with a 2D nanospecies NiO-Ni(OH)2- CuO heterostructure nanocomposite is produced using a simple hydrothermal route and then added to graphene by mixing a dispersion solution to produce heterostructure nanocomposite graphene(G)/NiO-Ni(OH)2-CuO;an electrode production unit to produce NiO- Ni(OH)2-CuO and graphene/NiO-Ni(OH)2-CuO heterojunction electrodes for electrochemical studies tests; anda supercapacitor assembly unit for fabricating a symmetrical solid-state supercapacitor using a heterostructure-based graphene (G)/NiO-Ni(OH)2-CuO electrode, the supercapacitor being fabricated on a carbon fiber fabric (CFC).
