Formulations of electroluminescent coatings with optimized properties |
abstract |
Formulation of the emitter layer and transparent electrode layer of an electroluminescent coating, which is based on the principle of the light-emitting electrochemical cell and is optimized for large-scale application without the use of vacuum deposition technology or substrates pretreated by vacuum deposition technology. The structure is characterized by an emitting layer applied to an electrically conductive layer and covered by a transparent conductive layer. The emitting layer contains polymers, ionic complexes, neutral molecules, graft copolymers or mixtures thereof which can be excited to emit light by direct electrical current. The formulation is optimized for flat and simple application similar to a paint. To control the layer thickness, rheological additives that act synergistically with other properties are used. |
