titleOfInvention | disposable diaper |
abstract | A disposable diaper (1) having a transverse and a longitudinal dimension, a backsheet (6), a topsheet (5) and an absorbent core (7) disposed therebetween, the absorbent core comprising at least one absorbent structure (15) comprising a substrate layer (16) and an absorbent layer (17) comprising absorbent polymer particles (50) and optionally cellulose supported by and immobilized on the substrate layer, the absorbent layer comprising: i. a transverse (N) and a longitudinal dimension (M); ii. two opposite longitudinal edges (18) extending in the longitudinal dimension; iii. two opposing transverse edges (19) extending in the transverse dimension; iv. a front, a step and a rear region (21, 23, 22), which are arranged one behind the other in the longitudinal dimension; v. two longitudinal sections delimited by a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the absorbent structure; and wherein the absorbent layer comprises at least two channels (26) substantially free of the absorbent polymer particles extending in their longitudinal dimension through the thickness of the absorbent layer, each longitudinal section of the absorbent layer comprising one of the channels and each one of the channels a. has a width of at least 3 mm or at least 4% of the transverse dimension of the absorbent layer; b. extends over at least 15% of the longitudinal dimension of the absorbent layer; c. exists at least in the crotch region or a part thereof; with the proviso that the absorbent layer does not include channels that are substantially free of absorbent polymer particles and that extend in their transverse direction in the crotch region and that do not include channels that are substantially free of absorbent polymer particles and that extend to theirs Longitudinal and transverse edges extend. |
