abstract A stationary patient life support system comprising: a. a remote isolated specialized facility (RISF); b. a reversibly hermetically sealable receptacle providing an isolated environment for use in the RISF; c. inpatient care services to inpatient hospital services and their operating media; and d. a portable life support unit (LSU) adapted to continuously connect the portable supply lines and the receiving device such that the receiving device is separable from the stationary supply lines while continuously and uninterruptedly connected to the portable LSU, and wherein the CIS is inserted into the RISF, ensuring that the patient is continuously connected to life support systems before, during and after a transfer to the RISF.
