titleOfInvention Multifunctional fluorescence diagnostic system
abstract A fluorescence diagnostic system comprising: an observation system (12), at least one light source (40) and a camera system (18) for detecting an image taken by the observation system (12); wherein the at least one light source (40) is operable in a first mode of operation in which white light is generated, resulting in a white light image, and wherein the at least one light source (40) is operable in a second mode of operation in which a first fluorescence excitation light of a first excitation wavelength range is generated which produces a fluorescence image in the visible range, characterized in that the at least one light source (40) is operable in a third mode of operation in which a second fluorescence excitation light of a second excitation wavelength range is generated which produces a fluorescence image in the NIR range, the camera system (18) is sensitive at least in the visible and in the NIR range, and in that the fluorescence diagnosis system (10) furthermore has an image processing system (32) with which the fluorescence image in the NIR range can be converted into a visible image.
