titleOfInvention Prepn of dried agarose gel used in molecular - sieve chromatography
abstract Dried agarose gel is produced by forming an aqs. gel contng. 0.5-5 wt.% of agarose and including in the cell structure 0.1-1.0 wt.% of a macro-molecular predominantly organic hydrocolloid having m.wt. of at least 5000 and soluble in water to the extent of at least a 1% soln. at a temp. below that at which the agarose has finite solubility, and drying the gel while the aqu. soln. remains included therein.
