abstract | Active ingredients in plant-protective agents consist of amino-s-triazine ethers of formula (I): (where R is haloalkyl or opt. substd. aromatic which can also be combined with heterocyclic gps. and R1 is opt. substd. aliphatic, aromatic or heterocyclic). They are prepd. by reacting cyanates R-O-C triple bond N with amidines: R1C(=NH)NH2 in cyanate:amidine, 2:1 mole ratio at -10 to 200 degrees C, pref. 0-150 degrees C, pref. in presence of a diluent. Pref. amidine is released from the amidine salt directly before reaction. |
