abstract | Aqs. emulsions contg. a reversible laminator are concentrated by deactivating the laminator by altering the pH, so that the emulsion separates, removing a part of the formed aqs. phase, and reactivating the laminator by adjusting the pH in the opposite direction. Used for concentrating emulsions contg. laminators consisting of high mol. wt. linear polymers with a low water solubility, which cause a decrease in the resistance number during turbulent flow of their dilute aqs. solns. Stable concentrated emulsions of the laminator suitable for technical use are obtained. |
