abstract Adhesive for athermanous glass, esp. foam or cellular glass comprises an aqs. soln. of an alkali silicate >100 cps. Viscosity at 20 degrees C opt. contg. active or inert pigment and up to 20 wt.% ferrosilicon. The glass or glass attached is stuck together with the adhesive and clamped in contact until the adhesive sets. The adhesive is fired resistant unlike prior art bitumens.
