abstract | An aqueous hair dye composition based on an oxidation precursor system comprises: (A) a tetraaminopyrimidine or a triaminohydroxypyrimidine or water-soluble salt; (B) a coupler which is 2- or 3-aminophenol, 5- or 6-amino-2-methylphenol and/or alpha -naphthol; (C) dihydroxyacetone, alloxane and methylglyoxal; and (D) potassium iodide.
