abstract A method for monitoring production processes is proposed, in which measured values of the production process are recorded and compared with process limits and a corresponding error signal is communicated when the process limits are exceeded. The standard deviation of the recorded measured values is used to determine the process limits. The method allows an automated calculation of the process limits.
