titleOfInvention | Nucleic acids for the production of transgenic plants with increased phytopathogen resistance |
abstract | The present invention relates to nucleic acids and fragments thereof which can be used to produce transgenic plants with increased resistance to attack by phytopathogens. Furthermore, the present invention relates to transgenic plants and a method for their production as well as various uses of the nucleic acids and fragments according to the invention. The present invention is based on the object of providing nucleic acids and fragments thereof with which the resistance of plants to attack by phytopathogens, in particular to attack by the Oomycete Phytophthora infestans, can be increased. According to the invention, this object is achieved by a nucleic acid which, after infestation of a plant by a phytopathogen, generates and / or induces at least one transcript in the plant leaves after an hour at the latest and comprises a sequence which is selected from the following sequences: a) a sequence according to SEQ ID NO 1 or SEQ ID NO 2; b) an intron-free sequence which is derived from a sequence according to a) and which codes for the same protein or peptide as the starting sequence; c) a sequence which encodes a protein or peptide which contains at least one of the sequences according to SEQ ID NO 3 to 7; d) a sequence encoding a protein with an amino acid sequence according to SEQ ID NO 14; e) a sequence which is at least 80% identical to a sequence according to one of groups a) to d); f) a sequence starting with ... |
